What do Dr. Dach's patients have to say about her?
get to know Dr. Dach
Why did you decide to become an OB/GYN?
I have known for as long as I can remember that I wanted to become an OB/GYN. I remember at the age of five being fascinated by all the babies in the nursery at the hospital, and making my mom take me by to see them whenever we went to the hospital. I loved my Mom's OB/GYN, and I guess I just wanted to be like him.
What brought you to Greenville?
I was born and raised in San Diego, California, went to University of California at Santa Barbara and medical school in Texas. My husband and I met in medical school and have been together ever since. We came to the south to be near my Grandma and do our training. Once we were here, we fell in love with Greenville and have not looked back.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is being a Mom. Kaitlyn Ann is now eight years old and keeps me smiling.
What would we be surprised to know about you?
First, that I speak fluent Spanish – mostly because I lived in Costa Rica for a summer after college (I was a surfer at one time in my life.) Also, before I became a doctor I taught aerobics and kick boxing. I am passionate about exercise, specifically running, and have now completed two half marathons. Someday, in a perfect world, I will be able to teach aerobics and practice medicine. Finally, I probably like to eat as much as I like to exercise. I love cooking and sharing meals with friends and family. My favorite recipe is caramel peach cheesecake.
