What do you think about having the flu shot during your pregnancy?

The physicians at Upstate OB-GYN Group highly recommend that expectant moms have the flu shot because it protects her while she's pregnant, but it actually protects her newborn in their first months of his or her life.

We find that lots of moms-to-be are hesitant about any medications while they're carrying a baby, even vaccinations.  The most useful and relevant advice comes from organizations like ACOG  (American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology) as well other women who've had to make this decision for themselves and their babies.  We find that the advice from other moms is often of most interest.
